Yes. Universal School Jakarta is a Cambridge International School and an SPK (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama) school officially recognised by the Indonesian Ministry of Education. As an SPK school, USJ combines internationally benchmarked Cambridge education with Indonesian national requirements, allowing students to benefit from both global academic standards and local educational foundations.

USJ delivers the Cambridge Full Pathway from Early Years through to Cambridge International A Levels, preparing students for higher education opportunities in Indonesia and internationally.

Academics & Learning

USJ offers a balanced and internationally oriented curriculum designed to develop strong academic foundations, global perspectives, critical thinking, communication skills, and cross-cultural understanding.

Students study core subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, ICT & Computer Science, Arts, Physical Education, and Global Perspectives. Students also have opportunities to develop language proficiency through Mandarin and additional language programmes offered by the school.

As an SPK school, Indonesian students (WNI) also study Bahasa Indonesia, PPKn (Civics), and Agama (Religious Education) in accordance with Indonesian national education requirements.

Student Wellbeing & School Life

Yes. Student wellbeing is a core part of the educational philosophy at Universal School Jakarta. The school believes that emotional wellbeing, mental wellness, and academic success are closely connected.

USJ regularly organises wellbeing programmes, workshops, and seminars designed to support students in managing both academic and personal challenges. Topics include mindfulness, meditation, emotional regulation, managing examination stress, peer relationships, cyber safety and cybersecurity awareness, self-confidence, resilience, healthy habits, and life skills development.

Students are also introduced to age-appropriate wellbeing practices such as EFT tapping, breathing exercises, somatic awareness activities, relaxation techniques, and guided reflection sessions to help support emotional balance and self-regulation.

To further support student wellbeing, the school provides a dedicated Wellness Room where students can reset, reflect, and receive guidance in a calm and supportive environment when needed.
